I've had this pattern for a pin cushion bookmarked for ages. I knew I needed a more personalized pin cushion than the traditional tomato pin cushion I had bought from the fabric store years ago.
I knew it would be quick, and I took a moment the other day to stitch one for myself. I knew I had to do it soon because my tomato had sprung a leak ... and filling was coming out of the hole.
Do you see the hole on the right side (at about 3 o'clock)?
I was able to dig into my fabric stash and find the wool felt and fabric I wanted to use. I traced a small bowl to get my circle.
And I'm so happy I took the time to do it. I love the colors, the size - and the newness of it. I even used a new pack of pins to fill it up with!
It's the little things in life that make me happy!
